E-Mail Group on Issues Concerning Utah County GOP, 6 April 2006
Lots to talk about issue wise in Utah County. Not to be ungrateful, but I wish it were via blogging instead of an e-mail group.
Another event slipped through the cracks. On 6 April 2006, I received an invitation to (along with 1,200 other delegates) and joined the Yahoo! Group named:
‘utahcountygop • Utah County Republican Delegate Group’
The group is http://groups.yahoo.com/group/utahcountygop/. I don’t know if you can access it without being invited. Try it and let us know the results by posting a comment.
The text of the invitation was as follows:
Dear Delegate,
We have created and online discussion group for you and other Utah County delegates to discuss issues and topics leading up to the Utah County Republican County Delegate Convention on April 29th.
We invite your to join this forum and discuss your thoughts, feelings and observations with the other 1,200 county delegates who will be choosing our republican candidates.
We hope discussions will be lively, yet respectful. This invitation is open to everyone, not just delegates.
Please bookmark the site and visit it frequently:

Best Regards,
The Moderators.
-----------
The amount of traffic the group is generating makes it very clear to me that people are much more comfortable with e-mail than with blogging. That said, blogging is more easily accessed by larger audiences, and the reader has complete control over their privacy and participation.
I will investigate adding e-mail distribution of posts to Orem Precinct 54 to ease consumption of the posts. There are tools out there that will e-mail the blog posts to you, if you choose to receive them in this manner. More on this as soon as I can get to it.
